In 2004, Rick hit a cow on the dark highway coming home from river rafting the Selway. Luckily, the rancher was at fault and we were able to replace the car:
In 2007, Whitney was driving by the high school when a lady pulled out in front of her and Whitney hit her. The other lady was at fault so we replaced that car:
In 2009 (two days ago), Kendall was driving down Canal when she rear-ended a lady. Unfortunately, our luck ran out this time and it was all Kendall's fault. The car was totaled:
Without c/c coverage, we're out a car. Now we have three drivers (four in May) who will need to share one car. Aaron will actually take that car with him when he goes to BYU-I in April, so we will have no car for those drivers. The good news is that experience in life makes you stronger and teaches good lessons. Maybe paying for their own cars will help my kids be even more responsible when they drive. Time to tune up the bicycles.

Wow, I am so glad Kendall didn't get hurt. The car looks pretty bad! I'm glad she was wearing her seatbelt!! Otherwise she'd probably look like Jenn. Isn't life grand?
Take all 3 cars and cut em up to make one car! Ok, so that wouldn't work, would it. On my mission they would just hook a horse or mule up to the car and get around that way (no joke!)
Glad she's ok! She'll definitely be more careful out there. It's so easy to lose concentration for a second or 2 and then Bam! I almost got run off the road today by someone not paying attention. Last second they hit the brakes and nearly rolled their car trying to avoid hitting me. Good thing I have seat covers on there! :)
Bummer! I am glad that in all of those accidents that everyone has been okay! This same thing happened to Adam when he was a teenager. His parents saved their beater for Adam and his twin brother for when they turned 16. Shortly after his twin totaled the car and they were stuck without a car and taking a minivan on dates for the rest of HS.
